She is an essential part of the burgeoning Amsterdam Jazz scene and has recorded and performed with many talented musicians including Pablo Held, Ben van Gelder, Reinier Baas, Jasper Høiby, Oene van Geel, Ernst Reijseger, and Sun-Mi Hong to name a few. She released an experimental improvisation album “The Back Of Beyond” in 2022 as a co-leader with producer Song youngnam under a South Korean record store/label, Sounds Good Store. After the release of "The Back of Beyond", she has been presenting her own music as well. She was selected as a “Jonge Makers” for Amsterdam Jazzfest 2023 and has been performing at important festivals and venues all around Europe such as North Sea Jazz Festival, Jazz Ahead, BIMHUIS, Unterfahrt, London Jazz Festival, Cologne Jazz Week, Moods, Oslo Jazz Festival, Minaret Records show in Los Angeles and many more. Following that, she won the first prize of the Keep An Eye International Jazz Award as a leader in April, 2024. After a few monthes, she was selected as a Young Artist of the year by Dutch newspapaer: NRC. For her new project “Chaerin Im Quartet”, she invited her favorite Amsterdam-based musicians: Siebren Smink on guitar, Matteo Mazzù on electric bass, and Ludvig Søndergaard on drums. They draw exciting and deeply emotional landscapes blending and layering sounds inspired by everything they like from indie pop, free-improv to electronic music. They had their successful debut concert as part of BIMHUIS Supersession in March, 2024. They performed in North Sea Jazz Festival 2024 as well.
